The North Precinct or Parish of Shrewsbury, Mass., was established 17 Dec. 1742. Rev. Ebenezer Morse was ordained as the first pastor of this church on 26 Oct. 1743. This parish remained a part of Shrewsbury until 1 Mar. 1786, when it was established as the town of Boylston and its church became the Congregational Church of Boylston.
